The Magic & Comedy Show, presented on Saturday, November 5, 2017, was a fundraising benefit for Lancaster native and resident, Mike Snyder, of the internationally known - Magic of Mike Snyder & Donna.

Mike was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in May 2017.

Because of Mike's continuing treatment and ongoing battle against cancer, Mike and Donna have been forced to greatly limit (almost give up) their performances since the diagnosis.  They hope to make a full return to their regular performance schedule as time, health and treatment allow, but at this time their main focus is fighting for Mike to be cancer-free.

Born, raised and still living in Lancaster, PA, Mike and Donna's show is an amazing production that is filled with comedy, music, audience participation, surprises, and of course tons of magic and large illusions.  During their larger shows people appear and disappear right before your very eyes, and you witness several rare and unusual illusions.

This award-winning magical duo has entertained people in 33 states and internationally in the Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada, the Caribbean, Iceland, the Mediterranean, Mexico, Portugal, and Puerto Rico.  They have appeared on International Cruise Ships, Casinos, Major Corporations, Theatres, and Amusement Parks.  Mike and Donna and have appeared for 24 consecutive years at Knoebels Amusement Resort in Elysburg, PA - America’s largest free admission amusement park.  The combination of these two, talented illusionists performing together makes the Magic of Mike & Donna a most unusual and entertaining show that you wouldn't want to miss.

Mike started performing magic at the age of five after seeing magician Marshall Brodien perform on TV.  By the age of twelve Mike was performing professionally in and around his hometown of Lancaster, PA and by the age of eighteen he had expanded his performing area into other states as well.  Donna and Mike met while they were students at Lancaster Catholic High School and started dating their senior year.  Donna would come to almost every show to help out backstage and take care of the animals that were in the show.  Soon Donna was filling in for Mike’s regular assistant and because of their real-life relationship, their onstage chemistry was evident - making the show even stronger.  Donna officially joined the show as Mike’s on-stage partner in 1984 and two years later, they were happily married.  After they were married, they both graduated from the prestigious Chavez School of Magic and Manipulation, based in Los Angeles, CA.

Wanting to come up with something different and more sophisticated than a typical magic show out of a small suitcase, Mike and Donna continued their education by studying, experimenting, and performing with larger stage illusions incorporating different illusionary and theatrical concepts.  The result is an award-winning show that travels in a custom-built 25’ cube truck with a unique blend of magic and large illusions, audience participation and comedy set to a variety of music genres to amaze and amuse their audiences.
